I had a condition that required medical care while taking a cruise in December 2023.
I filed my claim on 12/25/2023. Nationwide requested that I submit a Medical Expense claim form plus itemized bills, proof of payment, a copy of my Primary Insurer's EOB, copy of passport to confirm entry/ exit of foreign country, copy of accident report if injured and a copy of my policy confirmation of coverage.
On January 3, 2024, I sent an email to find out the status of my claim. I only received an automated reply.
On January 12, 2024, I called Nationwide. The person I talked to transferred me to Claims.
That person checked the status of my claim and said it was approved. He said they mailed the check on January 8th and to allow 30 days for it to arrive.
My check for the full amount of my claim arrived on January 16th. It was a long involved process, but they did finally pay my claim. It would not have been so bad if they had kept me advised of the status at all stages.

Thankfully, I did not have to use it, but I was pleasantly surprised by the extent of the coverage for the cost. I would go with C&F Trave Insured International again.

I was happy with the price and coverage of the plan. We did not have to make a claim and I think its only when a claim is made is the only realistic time you can truly test how good the insurance is. However, when arranging the plan it was all straightforward and fast and so I was happy with the service I received.

Difficult to respond given I didn’t use the coverage. It is reasuring the coverage is in place. It is easy to acquire and compare using the Insure mytrip site.
