Fortunately I did not have to use the insurance but it was nice to know that it was there, just in case. The overall process for selecting a plan was straightforward. The most difficult step was selecting from multiple vendors whose plans were very similar. The comparison tool helped identify the differences.

I didn't have to file a claim, so I don't really know how satisfied I could have been, and I don't know if I can recommend this plan, as I said before I didn't have to file a claim. I believe you have to file a claim in order to really know how good the plan is.

I could never have made my decision and purchase without the help of your customer care representative. The choices are too overwhelming and time consuming to review. With a few specific questions, the representative suggested a plan for me and told me of the extra benefits this one had compared to others. Trip insurance brings a peace of mind to those of us with elderly parents, a sick spouse, or just some unexpected event like weather that can shorten or cancel vacation plans. The trick is finding just the right insurance for your needs - not too much - not too little. Insure Assist did the job and I am happy to report I never needed to file a claim.

I waited to get my insurance until the date I was committed. I paid in full more than 14 days prior to the commitment date at which I could still get a full refund. I felt I didn't need insurance until my payments were at risk if I canceled. This prevented me from getting pre-existing conditions coverage. Otherwise coverage for price was very good

CSA both nationally and abroad were absolutely fantastic! They reimbursed everything-even calls I made to them that couldn't be placed as collect due to where I was calling from. I got everything I claimed w/out any hassles. Great service when I was in Europe as well. Will definitely use them again w/o a 2nd thought! Don't forget to bring your policy with you!

The best time to purchase travel insurance is right after you put money down towards your trip. Some policies include time sensitive benefits which are but not limited to pre-existing condition waiver, financial default, Cancel For Any Reason and Cancel For Work Reasons. Most plans require that you purchase a policy within 10 - 30 days of your initial trip payment, and insure all prepaid non refundable trip costs to receive these time sensitive benefits.
