I feel the rate for a customer of my (advanced) age is way too high, and will severely impact upon my decision for future travel and/or insurance coverage. I realize insurance companies need to make a profit, and a big one at that, but preferably not always on the backs of its senior customers. I have yet to see real comparison figures of calamities of elderly travelers and younger lower-rate-paying travelers. My hunch is not great differences as the elderly provide better self care, and less risk taking.

Roamright has always seemed a good value for the peace of mind that is needed for a trip. I have never used the coverage but it is a necessary coverage.

C&F Travel Insured International
Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
Had to file claim - to get refund on the cost of unplanned airfare that we had to buy due to airline rerouted our plane and they couldn’t provide timely return home. Part of our party had plan with C&F and part with Axa. Those that had C&F ended up getting money back faster. Claim processed fast, check sent. Easier than other place to open claim online and ability to check status online. Other company didn’t have this option.
Will now be switching to C&F insurance for our future travel.

As I didn't need to use the insurance while on my vacation in Moscow, there's not much I can say about the effectiveness of the coverage, but I was definitely at ease knowing that if I had needed to use it, I could have contacted Nationwide and had my needs taken care of! I shopped around, and for the coverage I got, this was the best price I found! I plan to use this company the next time I go abroad!

It took Anthem Blue Cross 91 days to process my claim. Travel Insured managed that feat in 3 days. Good service!

We called the emergency number while we were on our trip to get information about medical services. The representative was extremely courteous and helpful. When we returned we filed a claim on this policy for medical expenses and trip interruption. The agency processed the claim efficiently and we had our reimbursement checks in a very timely manner. We would use this company again without hesitation.

I filed a claim for delayed baggage. My luggage was stuck in Moscow customs and never made it to me in Siberia, forcing me to buy clothes to make it through the trip. All of the documentation I submitted - from the lost baggage claim to all of the purchase receipts - were in Russian so I was unsure if my claim would be accepted. It was!!!! Today I received a check for the maximum allowed amount specified in the policy. I will use John Hancock on my next overseas trip!
