Happy to report that I did not need to use this coverage. I purchased it for a cruise because after being pressured to buy insurance through the cruise company within 2 weeks of my purchase (which was almost one year in advance), I searched online and found I could buy similar coverage for less than 1/2 the price. After purchasing this coverage, I realized I could have waited until right before the trip to buy it. I called insuremytrip to ask if I could cancel and they were very helpful in refunding my money immediately. I was confident about buying it again when the time came. I was very grateful to have found this service. It gave me comfort while traveling to have coverage through a nationally recognized company.

I haven’t received the check yet, but was told it was in the mail. I broke my leg 2 days before my trip. I provided the information you requested and received the phone call in a very reasonable amount of time. I will be calling you next year when I TRY to take the same trip. This has been a very difficult time for me, thank you for making this part very easy!

My wife passed away before our trip. IMG made the claims processes overly difficult and time consuming. Representatives of IMG were not truthful with me about needing more information and correspondence that IMG supposedly sent me. As soon as I threatened legal action to get my claim paid, my claim was paid. Due to its very poor customer service, I strongly urge you not to let this company continue to solicit business through your website.

First of all, we would like to express our condolences for the loss of your wife. We also apologize for the turnaround time taken to process your claim. We certainly did not wish to increase your stress by making the claims process more difficult.
After reviewing your claim, International Medical Group acknowledged that they did not escalate the process, so your claim followed the usual time frame. It was received by the insurance company on 8/31/2018 and was finalized on 9/26/2018 with the check being mailed on or about 10/3/2018 after the month end check run.
International Medical Group and InsureMyTrip both regret that your claims representative did not acknowledge your frustration and provide more attention to your claim. Please rest assured that the company appreciates your comments which they have carefully reviewed with their representatives to improve service.
Fortunately, we did not need to file a claim so I cannot comment on that aspect. I did feel that we were well covered in the event of an emergency or illness.
