Purchased pre-existing coverage which I choose on all trips. FYI: ALWAYS read the policy in full. I had to cancel due to anxiety & filed a claim. I received a call and found out my claim was denied. Anxiety is considered a mental problem and is not covered unless you are hospitalized. I was not hospitalized, so no coverage for my claim. Almost 9K out of pocket.

The C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector plan does not cover claims related to: a mental or nervous condition, unless hospitalized for that condition while the Policy is in effect for You. This exclusion is a standard exclusion in most, if not all travel insurance plans. We strongly recommend customers read the terms and conditions of the policy within the review period to determine if the policy fits your needs. If the policy does not fit your needs, it can be cancelled within the review period for a refund of premium. Please call us at 800-487-4722 if you have any questions or concerns.

My luggage was lost for 2 days after I arrived in Helsinki. I did not file a claim at that point but was preparing to when I received notice that the airline was delivering my bag to me. It would have been a hassle to have to take time from my trip plans to replace my items but I'm sure you would have been there for me if I needed it.

Unfortunately, my wife's father passed away two days before we were scheduled to leave on our Norway vacation. Fortunately we insured our trip with Generali Global Assistance and once we gathered and submitted the necessary paper work, we were reimbursed for our monetary loss within a month. Thank you Generali for your prompt attention.
