Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
The plan absolutely gave full coverage, the price was a fair price because it was great coverage, luckily we did not need to use it but we were glad we had it, wouldn’t travel without it. Definitely like this company

I realize that the company is out to make money and does have to pay out claims. I just wish you could refund a portion of the premium if t is not used. It is a catch 22 because you do not want anything to happen to you while you're on vacation and the flip side is you to want make sure that expenses are covered if a problem arises.

We didn't go on the cruise :( I actually forgot about this insurance plan. We ended up going somewhere else in FL for a week. I wish I would have remembered this so I could have covered this trip instead. Ohh well, too late to turn back and it definitely isn't the company's fault. Thanks!

Thank you for your review. Generali Global Assistance has issued the following response:
"We're sorry to hear about the circumstances surrounding your experience, and for not meeting your expectations. Our goal is to provide a smooth and seamless experience for all of our customers. Unfortunately, as stated in our policy documents, our plans only reimburse for non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if you need to cancel your trip for a covered reason. It is important that you review your Description of Coverage, which are available before and after your purchase. We take the claims process very seriously and want our customers to make informed choices when purchasing travel insurance."
According to your policy I was suppose to be reimbursed for cost of cancellation that was not reimbursed. Read your policy. Your company apologized after months of ignoring promised me a credit to my card then never did. .
Thank you for your feedback. Please see the response from Generali below:
"We're sorry to hear about the circumstances surrounding your claim and apologize for not meeting your expectations. While the plan you purchased includes a variety of different covered events that can qualify for Trip Cancellation coverage, the plan is unfortunately unable to provide coverage for government imposed travel restrictions. Our records indicate that a voucher for the premium was issued and dedicated team members are on hand to help you with its use. Please contact (800) 348-9505 or [email protected] for further assistance. "
After looking at many travel insurance providers, we chose Nationwide. Unfortunately, my wife got sick and had to go to the medical center on the Carnival Breeze. We filed with our primary insurance and with Nationwide. My primary applied the entire amount to our deductible. Nationwide paid the entire amount. Yes you have to provide ALL the documents needed and it does take a while. Our cruise was in January and we got the check the 1st week of April. It took longer for my primary to process the claim. Once they received the necessary documents, Nationwide paid in about 15 or so days. We’re very happy with the process. Thank you Nationwide

After waiting over 40 days for this company to honor my claim I had to contact Insure My Trip. Within 4 days, this company reviewed and paid my claim. I sent EVERYTHING to this company on February 20th including all medical records, emergency room records, and all of the documents they required along with letters from my physician and travel agent. They had ALL the documentation they needed on February 20th, and I finally received a check on April 10th ONLY after contacting Insure My Trip. I would not use this company again!
