Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
This is definitely travel insurance. My father sold insurance and explained insurance this way: a know loss (the premium) to cover you in case of even more significant loss. So there is a cost. I did not file a claim because I did not have anything go badly. The plane ride in was uneventful even if dreadfully long. The cruise delivered as promised. The shore excursions went off without a hitch except for one that was cancelled due to rain - and we got reimbursed for that. So we got what we paid for, but were were NOT hit with any unexpected and untoward expenses. Isn't the best insurance that which you never need to use? I think so.

Thankfully, we had no reason to file any claims. For this reason, we have no experience with the underlying insurer. The policy appeared competitively priced for the coverages we wanted.

I have always bought trip insurance and wondered about the value. Unfortunately, this trip we did need assistance and had to file a claim. My wife fell down the stairs on the third day of our 15 day cruise from Sydney to Singapore. She fractured her pelvis in four places and suffered internal bleeding. The ship's team handled the emergency well until we anchored at Airlie Beach. The local EMTs called a helicopter for a forty minute flight from the ship to a hospital in Mackay, Australia. At admission, the hospital made it clear that I personally would be responsible for payment. But by the third day, Seven Corners Assist had contacted the hospital financial office arranging for a guarantee of payment for what turned out to be almost three weeks in the hospital including a surgery. Seven Corners Assist arranged for flights back to North Carolina in lie-flat seating for my wife, even sending an escort to accompany us. A former EMT, he was very well versed medically, and very experienced in handling the challenges encountered in our 30 hour return trip. I was able to tend to my wife while he handled the aggravations of the airports and airline.
Insurance promptly paid the direct hospital billing and return travel to enable us to leave the hospital. Personal expenses and trip interruption reimbursements were a challenge, with misplaced claims paperwork requiring several follow-up calls. It dragged four months, but after electronically resubmitting receipts, we received full refund of all our expenses. We certainly appreciated the assistance we received while in the throes of our emergency given the14 hour time difference, and during our trip home; and for the final settlement of our claim. I recommend this policy for the emergency support received and final settlement.

I submitted a claim for dental coverage for a dental problem which arose late on my cruise. Although no dentist was available to me, my claim was denied because dental treatment was not obtained during the voyage. In my opinion, the insurer rigidly adhered to the written policy without consideration of the claim circumstances. No compromise was made. I expect that inflexible and uncompromising approach typifies their claims review process so I cannot recommend this travel insurance company.

This plan was easy to buy and reasonably priced. We had purchased a policy for a previous trip to Alaska. We ran into problems when we needed to file a claim on the trip to Australia. The response was slow on our first inquiry and then we were asked for duplicate info. We had two separate claims and both times I had to call customer service to get results. On April 25th for example, I was told that a claim check would be sent in the next 10 to 15 business days. When not received by May 19, I had to call and the check had to be Fedex'd to me. Received on May 22. These delays are unacceptable considering the cost of the policy. I WAS very pleased with your service reps. They were friendly and professional. I particularly commend Ernesto who I talked to on more than one occasion and who always managed to answer my question or solve my problem. Please give him my positive feedback. My husband and I are planning another trip but have chosen to buy ins from another company. I hope this feedback will be helpful.

We did not need to file a claim, so not able to comment on the process. Policy did provide us peace of mind for a trip that was relatively expensive with a lot of travel variables. Would consider using them again.

Got sick on the cruise wanted to see the ships doctor but was afraid to use the policy to do this as I didn't wish to pay up front and hope that I would get paid back. I had a cold and the usuall remidies were not relieving my aches and pains and stop my caugh. Didn't think a cold would be covered.
