Nationwide Mutual Insurance Choice Cruise
Nationwide was willing to move this policy from a cruise in January 2022 which we cancelled to a cruise in April 2022. I really appreciate this great customer focus.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
Luckily I dd not need to file a claim. Eight people in my travel group tested positive for Covid-19, one had to be hospitalized. I am not sure that my insurance premium would have covered the additional expenses. Did it?

AXA Assistance USA Gold
my entire trip was canceled long before travel. I asked for a refund because of this. They refused, saying that Holland America didn't refund my deposit, using this as an excuse for denying a refund. HA did refund the deposit.
Typical insurance company.

Kind of hard to rate the plan and/or answer specific questions when no claim was filed (thankfully). That's the only way to know if the coverage was good and service efficient...or not.

Travelex Travel Basic
You are betting against yourself buying insurance—I am an old woman and buy insurance as a precaution. I have never used any insurance plan and think my history ought to be taken into account in the premium paid. Trip insurance at my age is very expensive. When I was younger & traveling more, I bought an annual policy.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite
Everyone should travel with this insurance. We had problems with a very uncooperative airline. But these people took care of things. Thank you!

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Universal Cruise
I purchased a policy from Nationwide for a cruise I planned to go on in October 2019. Because of the expense of a cruise, I thought insurance would be helpful in case I could not go on the cruise. Unfortunately for me I was robbed in Italy a couple of days before I was to go on the cruise. I could not go on the cruise as my entire purse was stolen with my passport and all my money. The cruise line will not let you go on board without a valid passport. I had no choice but to go to the nearest embassy to get an emergency passport to fly home. Nationwide said the cruise was not eligible for compensation. Ironically this was the only reason I bought insurance, in order to cover the cost of the trip if I was not able to go. All they would pay was $400.00 They sent an email stating they would send a check on December 4,2019.,but it could take 30 days to receive the check..This is ridiculous. It does not take 30 days to mail a check. I waited the required amount of time, and it is now well over 30 days. I called and they were not very helpful. I was told that if they were able to mail a check, it wouldn't be until Monday January 13,2020.. I can not recommend this company to anyone. I have no idea, if I will ever get paid.

    Thank you for your feedback on this policy. We are very sorry to hear that you were robbed on your trip and that your personal property was stolen. The representatives at Nationwide informed us that the claims were adjudicated in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy.

    Comprehensive plans are designed to cover as many risks as possible, but is very rare for any insurance plan to cover all possible risks. Unfortunately, it was determined that the event that interrupted your trip did not fall within the scope of Trip Interruption for this specific plan. Nationwide advised that you had coverage under Travel Delay and you were reimbursed the maximum amount under that benefit.
