Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.

Thank you for your feedback. According to the certificate, it shows that your Travelex Travel Basic plan would provide Trip Cancellation coverage due to a covered peril and that the insurance provider would need to be notified within 72 hours of a covered loss in order to file a claim.

did not need to use the plan, but comforting to know it was in place. travel now is very iffy and with this virus, a person should not travel with out insurance (medicare and most other healthcare plans do not cover out of country costs, ie: cruises)

I would highly recommend this company. Since I was ill it was difficult for me to manage the claim. They were very helpful and went the”extra mile” to reimburse me. Highly satisfied and will use again.

We buy insurance primarily in case we get sick or something happens to my elderly mother in law. It seems too expensive to me, but the Nationwide policy was the best deal. We never seem to have to use it and it would be nice if they would give discounted policies for those that don't make claims.

Did not have to make a claim so I cannot comment on that part of having the insurance. The Plan is pricey (they all are) but allows me to apply closer to my date of travel because the pre-x exclusion applies if the Plan is purchased before the FINAL payment is due, instead of within 14-21 days of the (usually refundable) deposit which could be a year or more before the trip. The benefits seem to cover all my needs.

The good thing about your plan is I never had to use it or file a claim. You don't really know the value of travel insurance until you have to use it and see how the company treats you then.

I thankfully did not have to use the coverage on this trip, but this is the second time I have purchased the Choice Cruise plan from Nationwide, and barring any changes to the coverage in the future, I will plan to buy this coverage again for future trips that include a cruise. I like that it has some cruise-specific provisions, as well as generous coverage limits, from a company with a well-known name and good reputation in the insurance industry.
