I have used the Nationwide cruise insurance several times. It always seems to offer really good coverage for the price. The one time that I did have to make a cancellation claim due to illness, the claim process was fairly easy and quick.

For a few tense days it looked like we were not going to be able to travel, and contacted CSA about filing a claim based on travel cancellation. The representative was very knowledgeable, walked through the policy and what we would need to do. They even emailed a claim package. In the end, we were able to travel.

Typically, medicare does not cover foreign medical expenses, and some travel insurance plans do not cover travelers with medicare as their primary health insurance. I was glad that this plan offered me primary coverage. It pays to go with a nationally known company. I could concentrate on having fun, and not worry about coverage- especially after 2 younger travelers had to receive casts after falls on-board the ship! For the price of a fancy dinner for 2, I had peace of mind and the confidence to pursue sports I enjoy.

I really appreciate the peace of mind that purchasing this plan gave me. About two weeks before the trip my cabinmate came down ill and had to be hospitalized. I started to panic, but then re-read my policy. Thankfully, if worse came to worse, my trip was covered. Even better though, my friend recovered and was able to travel in time. Worth the peace of mind!

I am glad that we did not have to use the insurance but have used CSA Travel Protection for our last 2 out of US trips. Cost is reasonable and at least we know that we are covered for many issues when our US health insurance will not cover foreign health care. Always travel internationally with trip insurance.

Fortunately we didn't have to use the plan,so it is a bit hard to rate.The one thing is that it is easy to find a suitable policy and to purchase it on line.We've used it a number of times and will continue to do so.
