We did not have to file a claim (thank goodness), but this insurance had everything we needed... cancel for any reason and medical coverage in a foreign country. The price very reasonable - much less than the ins offered through the cruise line. The comparison option on the website is user friendly and the chat feature is great. I had all my questions answered before I selected coverage. I also liked that I have until the day before I made my final payment, to purchase the insurance (for cruises only) - gave me plenty of time to research coverage that fit our needs. Thank you!

It had the aspects we needed at reasonable price. We didn’t need it thank goodness, but there was a medical emergency on our cruise which made the point that you never know when it could be you.

It's all good until it's time to file a claim. Then they want to say they don't cover illness. My son (who I had insured) got sick on our cruise ship and now ArchIns is saying they aren't the primary. Our medical doesn't cover out of the country which is the reason we purchased travel insurance. This company is a complete joke and I'll never purchase through them again.

The plan that you purchased provides excess medical coverage, which means a claim for any illness or medical treatment must be filed with your primary medical provider first. This way, we have proof of any payment from your primary provider and are able to reimburse the remaining expenses. If your primary insurance provider does not provide coverage for this type of claim, we would still need proof of their $0 payment.
