After filing a claim for a cancelled trip, our experience with this company was terrible. We continually had to call them to track the claim and every time they would say we needed to send more paperwork. Some receipts we sent them 4 times. We even had one of the tour operators email us to ask why they kept asking him for the same information. It took about 6 months for us to get about half of our money back. The one good thing I will say is about InsureMyTrip, who stepped in to help us at one point and were great to deal with.

Processing a travel insurance claim requires documentation that demonstrates the costs and circumstances surrounding the incident. If any information is missing or incomplete, the claim cannot be paid. Our claims department is held to a high standard of quality to make sure your claim is processed timely and correctly. When more information is requested, it is usually an attempt to help clients get the most out of their claim. I did not file a claim for this trip, but did for my last trip. Excellent service from the claims representative, and received reimbursement check within 2 weeks. I will continue to use InsureAssist for future trips.

In 2013, I had to cancel a trip due to an unforeseen injury. Luckily, I had CSA to cover me. As I continue to travel, I continue to buy CSA insurance. Having had a wonderful experience with them for my injury claims, I gladly purchased insurance again from CSA. No complaints.
