It is very hard to rate the Global Alert Preferred plan since we did not file a claim. It is only in going through the claim process that one can truly know the value and satisfaction with any plan.

Insurance is one of those necessary evils. We didn't need to file a claim with Global Alert, which is good, but it makes you feel like the $1800 was wasted. Of course, it wasn't, because IF we had had a problem, we were covered which is what insurance is for, but I don't know how good the coverage or service actually would have been since we didn't need to file any kind of claim.

The peace of mind was worth the price! I didn't have to use the coverage but some people did cancel their trip a week before we left. They paid around $1500 for the coverage for the two of them with another carrier. Yikes, that's a lot of money! Glad I found InsureAssist TravCan

This policy cost half of what the tour wanted to charge me. It would have covered emergency hospitalization. Since I signed on for the tour so long in advance, it gave me peace of mind if I had a medical problem that prevented me from traveling. I like InsureMyTrip because I can compare many insurance companies and get an exact fit.

Fortunately, we did not have to file a claim and our trip was uneventful - as I expect is true of most of your customers. However, I still do feel the cost of the plan was too expensive.

You may not need to file a claim, but this plan provides excellent coverage at a reasonable price. Make sure you do your homework on where the best medical facilities are for any condition you have before you go.
