Have used C and F before. Easy to arrange and communication with company is excellent. Fortunately, didn't have to file a claim and had a wonderful vacation.

I book this plan and recommend it to all my friends who cruise. I plan way ahead, up to 2 years, for a few cruises and put deposits that are refundable to about 60 days before sailing. These Cruise plans let you pay for the plan up to the same day the final money is due instead of at deposit. I feel that is a huge benefit as we sometimes change from one cruise to another and don't have the worry of having had to pay for the insurance. We buy it when we are ready to go and the coverage is excellent.

Fortunately, we have not had to file a claim on our previous 3 trips. The cost of this coverage seems to be so high, but was more reasonable than some. We will continue to purchase coverage, but wish there were lesser expensive options.

All the coverages were what we needed and the price was reasonable for our age and needs. However, it is hard to comment on an underwriter until a claim is processed which has not happened with this policy.at this point The Berkshire reputation is excellent which is comforting.

I had surgery on my foot in January, after buying the insurance. to that point. I followed ALL doctor's orders to the tee. After the foot came out of the cast, it began swelling and the leg showed significant redness to near the knee. Roughly 2 weeks before my planned flight, it was determined that I could not fly for at least a month. At that point I filed my claim. It took 90 days to get the claim paid and that is what insurance is all about. It was even suggested that this was a preexisting claim or condition. Never had this kind of problem previously. Eventually they paid.

Thank you for submitting your review. We are very pleased to hear that your claim was paid.

Your CF Travel Insured plan has a preexisting condition period of 60 days which is the number of days that the insurance company will "look back" from the date you purchased the policy to see if your claim is related to a preexisting medical condition. If the reason you are canceling, interrupting or seeking medical coverage is related to a preexisting condition, there would be no coverage under your policy so your claim would be denied.

The best way to avoid any confusion over a preexisting medical condition is to purchase a policy with the waiver of that exclusion. You can purchase most policies up until the day before departure. However, the best time to purchase travel insurance is right after you put money down towards your trip. The preexisting condition waiver is a time sensitive coverage that requires you to purchase a policy within 10 to 21 days of your initial trip payment. Unfortunately you did not qualify for the waiver since you purchased this plan more than 21 days after your initial trip payment.

Please call us at 800-487-4722 weekdays from 7:00 AM to midnight EST or weekends from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM for assistance in quoting or purchasing a policy.

I really appreciated the e-mail from InsureMyTrip right before I left with all the details of the insurance including phone numbers and a smart phone app. I felt very secure during my trip. There were two medical evacuations during the week on our cruise ship, so you never know when you will need this. Fortunately, I didn't have to make a claim.

Thankfully, I had no reason to use the plan while in Europe, and this complete coverage gave me great peace of mind as we traveled.

I can't verify how good the service was if I had to use it but under the circumstances I was traveling with peace of mind that they were there and I saw their offices while I was in Europe if I actually needed them! I would use their services again!
