This is the first time I have had to file a claim. Our flight was cancelled when the airport was closed in Kathmandu Nepal for 4 days. We filed a claim for an air flight change and for hotel expenses that we incurred as the result of the closure. The claim was accepted and paid promptly. I was extremely satisfied with the response by the company and the speedy service.

Since I didn't need to file a claim, I really don't know what would have been covered and what would not have been covered under the InsureAssist TravCan plan. Keep in mind that the lower priced insurance may not cover all of the travel costs you may have paid like visa costs if your travel provider cancels your trip.

Travelex Travel plan is helpful in the event of unforseen emergencies during or before travel. Fortunately, my travel was uneventful, but, my family members had to cancel their trip. Hence, the Travelex policy was very helpful in claiming for the panelties charged by the airlines.
