The AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold plan offers mid-level coverage and more options than Travel Guard Basic and Travel Guard Silver, allowing you to customize the plan to best fit your needs. In addition to Trip Cancellation, this plan offers Cancel for Any Reason coverage and a Pre-Existing Conditions Waiver. Children age 17 and under are free when there is at least one covered adult on the plan.

the phone number to assist me in Spain is a US number. This is not practical, since some cells will not be allowed to call internationally, even if it is collect. There should have local number to call to assist us abroad. I imagine this is easy to implement, since a local number could be used to redirect calls to the US if you need it.

Thankfully, I did not need to use any part of this plan. While I can afford the cost of a trip being cancelled, having medical coverage when out of the country and covering the costs to get me back home in case of injury or illness is a critical aspect of this plan. Highly recommended for those over 60 or with potential health issues.

Forget this plan. They cover nothing. Had to buy another ticket because of mishandled luggage by the baggage handler. Refused to reimburse. "Expense not covered"

It is difficult to evaluate something we fortunately did not need to use. I have little comparison or experience with other plans as far as the value. I do know that this plan was cheaper than the one being offered by the cruise line.

Aig used the universal "pre existing condition" excuse to deny a valid claim whendaughter became ill and could not travel.

In the future, please consider speaking with us prior to purchasing a policy. We would be happy to provide you with an explanation of the pre-existing conditions exclusion. Most plans require that you purchase a policy within 10 - 21 days of your initial trip payment, and insure all prepaid, non-refundable trip costs to receive time sensitive benefits, such as a pre-existing conditions waiver.

All of our providers have two phone numbers for their 24 hour assistance centers. One number is provided while you are traveling within the United States, and the second is an international number that can be used worldwide.
