Excellent coverage for the price with the Choice Plan. Will buy again for upcoming cruises. Excellent handling of our claim by the Nationwide office. Very pleased with the service.

We had an itinerary change for our cruise and this is the first time that we bought cruise specific insurance. We were compensated very well for this change and the claim filing process was very quick and easy. We will definitely purchase this policy again in the future.

Like many other people, we didn't need the policy coverage we purchased, Still, it was nice to know we had the coverage if we needed it . Your mobile app was very nice to have to remember all the policy features we had.

This plan covered change of ports. I booked this cruise specifically for the port stops in st. Thomas and San Juan. Due to the storms, these ports were changed to far less desirable stops. I filed the required paperwork upon return home and was mailed a check for $1500 within a week. No questions asked.

Good coverage with an nice option of being that if an itinerary is changed they cover it. Great in Hurricane season.

We purchased the Nationwide Choice Cruise policy before our November Caribbean cruise on Norwegian. 4 of the ports on our itinerary were flattened by hurricanes Irma and Maria. I called Nationwide when we got our new itinerary to inform them of the new ports and make sure we were still covered. I was informed that we still had full coverage for the new ports, and when our traveling companions called to report their itinerary change, they were informed of the pre-departure itinerary change benefit that was included in the policy. We filed our paperwork as soon as we got back from the cruise, and 15 days (10 business days) later, we each received a check for $750 for our "inconvenience". Since I didn't even consider it an inconvenience, and since we only paid $720pp for the cruise, I call it a win! Thank you Nationwide! You're the best! My only complaint would be that the representative I spoke to about the itinerary change did not remind me of the itinerary change benefit, but I fully realize that they are under no obligation to do so, and I just need to be better about reading the fine print in any policy I buy. I must say I was impressed with the time it took to get our checks, considering how many claims Nationwide must be dealing with after 4 of the most popular Caribbean ports were destroyed.

We booked a Disney Cruise with our family for our 5oth anniversary. There were 17 of us - two 74 year-olds (us) one of whom is a Type I diabetic. We also had nine grandchildren (age 4-15) and a daughter who was very recently diagnosed with breast cancer AND still undergoing treatment. It was a very expensive trip and I spent a lot of hours researching best options. Fortunately, we did not have to use the insurance to cancel our, trip. We had a great time but it was well worth the cost of insurance to know we would not have had to forfeit the full cost of the trip if issues prevented us from going. The cost was definitely less than that offered by the cruise line and offered insurance of 75% of the cost of the trip if we cancelled for "any reason." For cause, it was 100% of the cost of the trip, I believe. The cruise line had a similar plan, but the 75% option was available only as a credit against another cruise!. Very good value, I believe.

Luckily we did not have to use or file a claim so I’m not sure how that part would have gone or how easy it would have been to receive reimbursement.

Insureytrip.com is the best place to locate, review, and purchase travel insurance I have found. All of the available policies can be compared to determine the coverage and cost you want. While I didn't have to file a claim it was comforting to know I had the coverage if needed. Ironically, a passenger on our cruise ship suffered a medical emergency and had to be taken off the ship to a local hospital and I wondered if they needed to be air lifted to America if they had good travel insurance.
