The Global Alert Preferred plan offers comprehensive Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due an unforeseen covered event.
Fortunately we didn't need it, but knowing if anything had happened to delay us getting home we had coverage for the additional nights gave us some peace of mind.

I am glad I called you directly because the person I talked to saved me about half the cost of the policy I had originally chosen. Very satisfied and almost had to use the medical because my son was running a fever the day we left, but we went anyway and fever broke after a day or two, but luckily we didn't need any medical help. My baby is one year old. I felt more at ease knowing our trip was insured, it was really a piece of mind for low cost.

Thankfully did not have to use the coverage, but had peace of mind knowing we had it should it be needed. Unfortunately, a passenger on our cruise did have to be airlifted. Although we would have preferred a little smaller premium, it was worth it knowing the coverage was there if needed.

This was the first time getting insurance on a trip. It was comforting to know coverage was available if needed. I can't comment on how quick or effective the coverage was because thankfully it was smooth sailing with no incidents. Will buy again.

We boarded our flight in Chicago. The pilot made an announcement that upon landing in Chicago a bird flew into the engine. They needed to get a special ladder truck to inspect the engine for damage; and if there was, our flight would have to be canceled for safety sake. As we sat for about 2 hours on the ground, I thought what would we do if our flight was canceled? How does this trip insurance come into effect? This was a perfect time to check it out. I first called the Customer Service number, but there was a wait time before an agent could handle my call. I decided this was probably not the correct department to call in this situation so I hung up and called Claims. The man was very informative and knowledgeable. I was impressed even though my call was a what-if call. We had a few days before our cruise would leave so we might be inconvenienced, but not miss the most important part of our trip. There was no engine damage done, they restarted boarding, and we took off. As a special note, upon landing at LaGuardia in NYC an announcement was made to please allow passengers in the back of the plane to deplane first as they had to make a cruise. As these passengers were slowly making their way past us, we struck up a conversation. It was about 2:20 p.m., and they had to get their luggage and then travel to I think, Bayonne, NJ to board their ship scheduled to leave at 4:00 p.m. Even if we landed at our proper time of 1:20 p.m., they weren't going to make it. I don't know who booked their flight, but in today's low inventory/delayed flights world, you should arrive for a cruise at least 1 day before. I'll bet they didn't have insurance either.

You should allow me as a repeat customer to set up a profile on your site so I can more easily identify the plan (or plans) I have used in the past. This would avoid the need to start every trip from scratch.
