The Global Alert Preferred plan offers comprehensive Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due an unforeseen covered event.
Thank you for your feedback on the policy. In the future, if you are unsatisfied with the claims process, please call InsureMyTrip and request a customer advocate. Our customer advocates can contact insurance companies on the customers behalf and attempt to expedite the claim.
The plan seems to cover everything we wanted: cancel for any reason, good medical, and evacuation coverage which to me is most important as we tend to travel to exotic areas that might not have much access to medical facilities.

We didn't need to use the plan, but it was there if we needed it. The traveler is still away and has a supplemental travel medical plan through you. Gives me peace of mind.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Typically, policies can be amended after purchasing coverage, provided you contact us prior to the original departure date. If you need to make a change, please call our customer care department with your order number and let the representative know what you need to adjust in your policy. The representative will update your policy to see if these changes will affect your premium. To execute a change, you will be required to send us an email confirmation requesting the changes, giving permission to charge the additional premium, stating you did not incur any cancellation penalties, and will not file a claim against the original policy.
We needed a plan that would provide for pre-existing conditions for our sister who we were traveling with. We've always purchased trip insurance, but never needed the pre-existing conditions waiver. Even though availability of these type plans was limited, we found Global Alert! to offer what we needed at the best price.
