Offering the highest coverage limits of the three plans provided by John Hancock, the Gold plan offers the most included coverage as well as optional upgrades. This plan offers Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, as well as many other coverages including Missed Connection and Itinerary Change. These coverages could come in handy if a covered common carrier delay causes you to miss your cruise departure or if your travel supplier changes your covered trip itinerary after your departure date.

One again we did NOT require any claims during this trip, a long journey to fairly inaccessible Antarctica! We were able to purchase a plan that covered about anything that could have happened to us--and an evacuation plan if it did-- and had no doubt we would be covered. We've only had one claim over the years of purchasing travel insurance thru insuremytrip, and the claim was handled fairly and reasonably promptly. We always get our travel insurance thru insuremytrip.com! Highly recommend them.

Even though we didn't have to use the coverage, it was a comfort to know it was there, We saw other people injured or having to leave our ship and knew that if something happened to one of us, we had it covered. We are planning another trip and will definitely consider John Hancock again for coverage.

Did not have to make a claim so I really can't say how satisfied I am; I gambled and lost! That's the nature of insurance.
The proof of the pudding of insurance is only known at the time a claim is made then one finds out if the insurer is good for it's promise to pay the claim and how difficult or easy the claim process is. As far as coverage value, and satisfaction, I can't say as I really did not do a through research, but obviously I thought the price was competitive or I would not have purchased the insurance.

I submitted my claim # 1JHG14-111498 recently and am now pleased in it's handling. I did request o speak with a a Customer Care Individual, and received prompt and responsible care of a small problem. In addition, your employees that I had occasion to speak with early on during my claim process were very knowledgeable and helpful in our claim submission. Please thank them for their care and concern.
