While I did not have to file a claim with Travelex on this trip, I have filed a claim with them on a previous trip. The process was simple and relatively painless; that's why I will continue to insure my trips with them.

The only claim that I can make was that the cuisine on board the ship was not as good as advertised. But that's not your department! Ciao

I spoke with two reps at InsureMyTrip and found them very helpful. Please continue to keep reps available for purchases like this! I liked the plan and price for myself, but I also bought plans for 2 friends I was traveling with. One is 72 and the other is 80. I thought the prices were too high for them, especially the 80 yr old. I like the fact that Travelex medical coverage is primary. That makes things so much easier if a claim has to be filed. Of course I'm very glad I didn't have any claim this time!

my need to cover preexisting conditions requires purchase of insurance many months in advance of a trip even if I may have to cancel it due to non health related issues. Therefore I will get my deposit back from the travel co but not the expensive insurance. This keeps me from traveling as much as I would like

Can't very well review something I didn't have to use. We always buy travel insurance for trips costing more than a certain amount, but fortunately have never made a claim. I can only hope the service will be good if I ever do have to file a claim.
