It's hard to rate something that you didn't use. It seemed like a good plan, it was well priced and easy to buy. I like the website and the fact that you can compare different features to choose the best plan for you. I will use and recommend the website and I will continue to hope that I never have to worry about finding out if the insurance I buy is really any good.

For me, selecting travel insurance was like choosing the lesser of many evils from so many different offerings. It required compromises on levels of coverage to keep the cost down. I would have liked more coverage than Travelex Select included but did not wish to pay more a lot more.

We purchased the insurance within a few days of our deposit, so we were eligible for the cancel for any reason coverage. About 2 months before our trip, I broke my leg and was unable to travel. We were promptly reimbursed for our full airfare and the non-refunded portion of our cruise cost.

Fortunately we didn't need to file a claim, but that's why one buys travel insurance. We have a 95 year-old parent who, while in generally good health could necessitate a speedy, unscheduled return to USA. We have associates who had need of emergency care and air evacuation from Mexico. They had Travelex and reported timely claim handling. That was what convinced us to go with Travelex.
