I made a claim via e-mail while in Italy for luggage delay of 2 days. Pretty quick response by e-mail and followup after I returned home. Quick and fair settlement of the few charges ($51) that we incurred for essentials while awaiting our luggage.

Since I had no problems on this trip, I really don't know whether the insurance was that great; however, I believe that it probably was. I was the most concerned about air ambulance costs and I feel that the policy I chose did cover that effectively.

The policy was complex and aimed at people who were on cruises or group trips. My wife was ill up to the time we left and I was apprehensive about whether we would be reimbursed if she did not go. She went in the end and so no issues arose.

I have used Travelex in the past and found that the claim process was cumbersome and designed to discourage claims. I only used this again because it was the best option. I will try not to use Travelex in the future.
