We have used InsureMyTrip to purchase our travel insurance many times because of the ease of comparing plans and coverage. We always end up selecting Travelex Travel Select plan as the best value. On two past occasions, we had to file claims and they were handled promptly.

When traveling to SEA I am always concerned about the prospect of having a health issue occur and not being able to get home.
Consequently I look at policies that offer a great evacuation plan if unforseen big health issues pop up.
I found the Travelex Travel Select plan to offer a very good health insurance plan and a great evacuation plan at a reasonable price.
I am very happy that I've never had to make a claim while traveling but, it is comforting to know that if I have to...that I have a good insurance plan behind me.

I've used Travelex for years for ski trips and all personal travel. They've been great, with a very user-friendly website and tremendously friendly and helpful people on the phone. Although I have never needed to file a claim, I highly recommend them.

After being burned by two other travel insurance companies, I did a lot of research before dealing with another company. The best recommendations on the Internet were for TravelEx. TravelEx was honest and forthright when I asked them questions about coverage provisions. They have no unfulfillable time limitations and their medical "authority" is not limited to an on-staff paramedic. They are also "primary" and that's important.

We originally chose the Travelex plan because it provided the coverages we wanted at a reasonable price. We subsequently had an issue (before the cruise) and InsureMyTrip stepped in to help resolve the problem. Thank you InsureMyTrip!
IMHO, needing to file a claim and seeing how the claim is handled is the ultimate test of travel insurance. Fortunately, we did not have to use that test.

Fortunately, I have never filed a claim and so cannot comment on company performance. However, on this trip we had to jiggle the start and finish dates with no change in length of coverage. InsureMyTrip made this change without a problem or extra expense.
