The Preferred plan is a comprehensive travel insurance plan offered by Arch RoamRight and has several options not offered on the Arch RoamRight Essential plan, allowing for a more customizable product. In addition to trip cancellation and delay, the Preferred plan offers coverage for one child per paid adult, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, trip interruption, medical and evacuation coverage, and 24/7 assistance.

-Assistance was not available in the evenings or weekends when I needed it.
-I was aware of the 75% refund rate on my "Cancel For Any Reason" policy. It really wasn't advantageous to have this policy because the airline charged $200 to cancel the $659 flight and would have given me a credit that equaled 75% of the ticket value, I won't buy insurance again since it ended up costing me more to have insurance than just cancel the ticket.

We always purchase insurance when we travel. This was the first time we had to file a claim of any type. This was the first time we used RoamRight. My husband required surgery which necessitated the cancellation of our trip. The claim was processed with a minimum amount of paperwork and resolved in an expeditious manner. We bought the optional Cancel for Any Reason coverage and I'm glad we did because we ended up having to cancel our trip. I filed a claim and had the checks in my hands about a week and a half later. Very easy. I will use RoamRight again for all my trips.

We had a death in the family a few days before our trip. I contacted RoamRight and was sent a claim form and reassured that we would be covered. We ended up going on our trip as things worked out that way - so I didn't have to file a claim, but I am so happy I bought this insurance. They were nice and helpful during a very stressful time.

The customer care representative who helped me select the type of coverage I needed was fantastic. My concern required "Cancel For Any Reason" coverage, rather "Pre-Existing Condition" coverage, which I could not tell from the website. Luckily I didn't have to file a claim.
