The Preferred plan is a comprehensive travel insurance plan offered by Arch RoamRight and has several options not offered on the Arch RoamRight Essential plan, allowing for a more customizable product. In addition to trip cancellation and delay, the Preferred plan offers coverage for one child per paid adult, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, trip interruption, medical and evacuation coverage, and 24/7 assistance.

I bought this coverage for my traveling party of six, and was primarily interested in cancellation coverage due to a family member's illness or death. This coverage provided what I needed and a lot more, including a pre-existing condition waiver. In comparing this policy with others, it was more coverage with higher limits for less money.

This makes the 3rd survey I'm completing as I booked 3 cabins aboard a Disney Cruise Line. After much research and conversation I chose InsureMyTrip/ RoamRight Preferred Plan and could not have been happier. Also saved a lot over what others, including Disney quoted me for insurance.

When taking trips in the past I always declined travel insurances provided by the cruise line offered it because it always seemed to be cost prohibitive. Plus the fact my husband always felt we could afford to take the gamble. It was not until this past September that we booked a Disney Cruise to take our entire family of 10 that I felt having to book so far in advance and with 3 families involved and with such a major expense did I feel we should look into insuring the Disney Cruise. My son happened to come across a site in which InsureMyTrip was mentioned. I called, talked to them and took out the RoamRight Preferred Plan with the advance illness notification. I will always use InsureMyTrip from now on if I decide to take out travel insurance. They were very nice to work with. I like the way the payment plan is set up and it was very reasonable.
