I thought the price was very reasonable, with great coverage. The customer service representative was knowledgeable and nice to speak with. I will be using InsureMyTrip the next time I travel.

Overall I think it's a good idea to have insurance for a trip. I received prompt responses for my claim, though I disagree with the outcome to some extent. Next time I will have a direct conversation with RoamRight about the coverage. Seems a little tricky in their interpretation and their judgement of my claim. Must have been extremely small print that I missed somewhere as I had a decidedly different impression of my coverage. Nevertheless, I would approach them again for my next trip but not without a conversation first about my coverage as to be one hundred percent clear about expectations. It felt a little like Lucy and Charlie Brown with the football.

I would recommend the plan. I imagine these types of plans (Cancel For Any Reason), which at the most cover 75% of the total costs, are typically among the most expensive. I would probably try and choose a less expensive plan in the future, one that covered most of the options covered in this one but at a lower premium. I will say that all of the agents at InsureMyTrip were superb.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The policy you purchased comes with trip cancellation for covered reasons, which reimburses 100% of your trip cost. Covered reasons for trip cancellation are: illness/injury as certified by a physician, hospitalization/death of a non-traveling family member, traffic accidents, and natural disasters at home or destination. For an additional charge, you opted in for the Cancel For Any Reason benefit, which reimburses 75% of the trip cost. Some common reasons for spending additional premium on Cancel For Any Reason include the concern of: political/civil unrest, war, epidemic/pandemic, and the declining health/death of a friend or pet.Nov 20,2014

I purchase the trip insurance for piece of mind. We came close to filing a claim, but were able to work around the situation. In Washington D.C. we encountered a weather related tight connection and had a half hour to get from one side of the airport to the other. We just made the flight, but our luggage didn't. We arrived in Paris early Sunday and continued traveling to Avignon by high speed rail. My wife's bag arrived on Tuesday and mine on Wednesday. It would have been difficult to purchase clothes and amenities since we were in a small town and most businesses are closed on Sunday and Monday. We were able to get some amenities from the cruise operator and the couple we were traveling with. My cabin steward was able to launder my clothes at night. One more day and I would have to buy clothes. The airline also offered some coverage.

One of our traveling companions luggage was lost and to this day she does not have it! The airlines are giving her headaches and it made me realize the importance of having good insurance when we travel. Thanks for providing good coverage at a realistic price.
