In addition to trip cancellation and delay, the Preferred plan offers coverage for one child per paid adult, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, trip interruption, medical and evacuation coverage, and 24/7 assistance.

Since I didn't need to access the benefits, I can't comment on that aspect. But the cost was much less than the plan offered by the cruise line with the same or better coverages.

Quite dissatisfied with the overall experience with RoamRight. My trip to Cabo San Lucas was canceled due to Huricane Ordile in September 2014. I immediately contacted RoamRight for assistance. They were extremely inefficient and very poor with follow through on my claim. The claim was processed incorrectly the first time (which took just over 3 weeks; 4.5 weeks to receive the initial reimbursement). When I followed up with our claims adjuster (Chris Edwards) for clarification he said he would need to re-open our claim and investigate further. As an additional three weeks has passed, I followed up again and have received no update at all. The whole experience has been beyond frustrating and RoamRight has been less than helpful. Although I feel that traveler's insurance is necessary I would not recommend Insuremytrip or RoamRight for your insurance needs.

After many extensive overseas trips, this was the first one where we had a claim. In India, foggy weather canceled a flight, which caused us to travel to another town in order to fly to New Delhi to catch our tour. We missed our first night in a hotel in New Delhi as a result, and Roam Right covered all these expenses. We had to keep our receipts to prove our claim, but we were issued checks in a timely manner. We were impressed with Roam Right.

I bought insurance for my trip and thankfully did not have to use the benefits. I was glad to have coverage and peace of mind that should I run into trouble I would be insured.

Good plan, addressing all our needs which is why we purchased it. Fortunately, there was no need to file a claim, but the protection was there if needed.

It is hard to rate the plan, as we had no issues that caused us to need to file a claim. It's when you have to use the coverage where you really know how good the plan is and if their customer service is satisfactory.
