The Preferred plan is a comprehensive travel insurance plan offered by Arch RoamRight and has several options not offered on the Arch RoamRight Essential plan, allowing for a more customizable product. In addition to trip cancellation and delay, the Preferred plan offers coverage for one child per paid adult, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, trip interruption, medical and evacuation coverage, and 24/7 assistance.

This plan covered most of the concerns we had. Fortunately we did not have to use it. However, I was disappointed that upon changing our flights while we were away (to add two more days to our trip) we could not add on coverage. This may not be plan specific, but something I will keep in mind for next time.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. With any comprehensive policy, changes cannot be made after your departure date. However, coverage will extend if you were delayed for covered reasons.Mar 07,2014

My returned flight was canceled due to weather condition. Airline offered me a seat on the flight to go 7 days later. I had to stay in a hotel for two days until I bought another ticket to get home. I was 100% refunded for these expenses. Thanks RoamingRight!

Best case scenario with insurance, is it's a waste of money. Had no need to make a claim, so its hard to evaluate the policy. Would use again.

I booked the insurance about 2 months ago knowing that February travel out of NYC is a challenge with the weather and possible snow storms/cancelled flights. Of course the shoe dropped (or actually 10 inches of snow did) 24 hours before our flight left. Bottom line was our flight made it with only 3 hours delay. I was very happy to know we have the right coverage in place and the expense of the insurance was minimal if we have an issue. This is my 4th booking with InsureMyTrip and their reps have not steered me wrong when it comes to selecting a policy. Well done.

I was satisfied with the coverage. I book all my travel insurance through InsureMyTrip. However, never had to put a claim in as of yet.
