CSA processed my claims very fast. I had an accident on the day I arrived to my first destination and it ruined my whole trip as I was hospitalized and not allowed by the doctor to do any activities. I came back with my original air ticket and filed my claims as soon as I received my claim form filled by the doctor from overseas. CSA processed my claim much faster than my own health insurance that took several months to process my claim. For trip interruption, CSA approved my claim within 5 business days. I had to wait for long on my health insurance reimbursement but it was due to the delay from my primary medical insurance. Once I received the explanation of benefits from my medical insurance, CSA mailed me the check to cover the amount not paid to me by my medical insurance. I will never travel without trip insurance. And CSA will be my first choice as I am extremely happy with their procedure.

Sold as a "comprehensive policy", it is anything but. We had a complicated, multi-part trip to Africa, including a safari followed by a cruise. The cruise line went out of business two months before we left. CSA refused to cover this, even though the paperwork implies that it does: it excludes coverage for financial insolvency **if it happens within 14 days of the purchase of the policy.** Well, this happened three months after the purchase of the policy, and it wasn't covered. We ended up rebooking the second half of our trip, which required flight & hotel changes and many change fees. Guess what? This wasn't covered either. We bought this expensive policy because we wanted to be sure everything was covered. Never again!

    Comprehensive plans are designed to cover as many risks as possible, but is very rare for any insurance plan to cover all possible risks. The CSA Travel Protection
    Custom plan is a Comprehensive plan which covers a wide range of perils and hazards. Financial Insolvency is not a covered event on this specific plan.

This is the second time I've purchased trip insurance through CSA and while I've never needed to use it, I've felt more comfortable knowing I have coverage should it be needed. I like the fact I can customize the coverage for my needs and where I'm going to be traveling. I would not hesitate to purchase this protection again.

Our bag was delayed by the airline for six days. The claim was processed quickly. There is a $200 limit on delayed baggage (less than what we had to buy!) but this is fairly standard for all plans.

I love InsureMyTrip as it permits comparison of all components of travel insurance plans in one place. CSA often offers higher levels of coverage for similar or lower price than other companies, so I often choose CSA for my travel insurance. Although I did not need to file a claim for this most recent trip (thank goodness!), I have had to file a claim with CSA in the past, about 2.5 years ago. The claim process was seamless and my claim (trip cancellation) was covered without any hassles. Consequently, I do not hesitate to use CSA for my travel insurance needs.

Of course, it's always a good thing when you don't need to utilize your insurance; but of course, that's what it's for. I found the online process easy to navigate and the information provided by the customer service rep very easy to understand. I always ensure our trips but have never had to use the insurance (knock on wood!) The true test is if and when I ever need to file a claim.
